FairyCraft

I'm a mixed media artist with primary interests in pottery and photography.   I love working from my home studio in beautiful Colorado as well as working in the community studio.

While attending Colorado State University, I discovered my love of pottery while studying for a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography.  I spent many hours and late nights in the pottery studio AND the darkroom.   I am always evolving as an artist.

Years later, I was blessed to give birth to a beautiful baby girl and be a stay at home mom.  With my husband's encouragement, I took pottery classes through the Fort Collins Park District when she was a toddler and found that I just can't keep my hands clean anymore!  In the fall of 2019, we completed the backyard shed studio so that I could work independently.

The challenges of 2020 have changed the momentum of FairyCraft, but I'm excited to be a creator and finding new (although intimidating) ways of getting my art out into the world.

Why fairies?  I'm a large chunk of Irish and have always been fascinated by fairies and mystical creatures.  Occasional odd things happen or I end up in the right place at the right time.  Some would say it's God or angels, while others may blame the fae.  Sometimes I'm blessed but also there is fiestiness.  That's all I'm saying.  ;)
